Nourishment for the

body and the soul…

Providing meals to the community.

In the spring of 2011 Alice Robinson and her husband, Paul Robinson, were informed at a banquet event of a statistic that stated, “one out of three children in Caswell County did not have enough food to eat”.  That night, Alice felt the need to do something about this situation.  Two weeks later she decided to initiate a feeding program at her building, Alice’s Educational Wonderland, that would provide sit down meals to the community. Together the Robinsons began a partnership with the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Association (CGMBA) a nonprofit 501(c)3 and as they say, ‘the rest is history’.

Working together to serve others

Alice and Paul Robinson are well known in the Caswell community as providers of food for the body. Anyone connected with the Robinsons know they are are strong believers in God’s impact on the soul as evidenced by the miracles that continue to happen through their ministry. Whether the food is provided in person at sit down meals at Ms. Alice’s Educational Wonderland building, or via delivery (now due to COVID), it is provided with a servant’s heart and a powerful dose of love and faith.

Teamwork of volunteers & providers

With over 50 volunteers in the community assisting and more being added each month, County Outreach Ministry continues to expand its reach. These volunteers include individuals, churches, businesses and other nonprofit organizations.  Together they assist in cooking, cleaning, gathering, providing and taking meals and water to children and seniors that are not able to come to the facility. With provider partners like Second Harvest Food Pantry, Cici’s Pizza, USDA, Golden Corral, God’s Pit Crew and many churches and local farmers, we can make sure no child goes hungry.

More than food…

Offering the community a healthy meal, a word of encouragement, moral support and prayers are all part of the care the County Outreach Ministry provides to Caswell County. Working with many partners in the region to make this a reality requires many hours of coordination, fund raising and hard work.

“Without the support from County Outreach Ministry the need to feed our community’s hungry would not be filled.”

- Local Caswell Pastor
